PARS Research adopts a collaborative approach to research issues, working in partnership with client organizations to improve knowledge and competence in using research findings in decision making. PARS is a learning organization, emphasizing teamwork and the sharing of knowledge.
PARS’ first responsibility is to the client. The success of PARS is measured by the way we meet our responsibility to our client and the people with whom we do business with. Giving independent and professional feedback is a major part of that responsibility.
In its pursuit for excellence in scientific research data, PARS uses a range of data collection methods, namely desk research (using published sources such as public statistics, import/export figures, sales records and accounting records), qualitative research (focus group discussions, mini-groups, in-depth interviews, observation) and quantitative research including household surveys.
PARS is also a member of the continental market research body African Market Research Association (AMRA), the local Marketing and Social Research Association (MSRA) and we ensure that all staff within the organization observe the code of research ethics. PARS staff have also gone through the Research Ethics Training Curriculum (RETC) developed by FHI360, and also Training and Resources in Research Ethics Evaluation (TRREE).
